IBF middleweight champion Arthur Abraham (23-0, 18 KOs) is back. "King Arthur" showed no effects from the broken jaw suffered in his previous fight as he knocked out previously unbeaten Sebastien Demers (20-1, 9 KOs) in round three on Saturday night at the JAKO Arena in Bamberg, Germany. In a bout that started after midnight due to network coverage of a major soccer match, Abraham went right to work beating Demers to the punch with good combinations to the head and body. Abraham finally dropped Demers with a brutal assault in round three and referee Ernest Sharif stopped it at 2:57.

Marco Huck´s IBF cruiserweight eliminator against Vadim Tokarev has been moved back to May 26 after the 22-year-old was flattened by a stomach flu. Captain Huck (18-0, 14 KOs) was originally scheduled to take on the unbeaten Russian on May 5 in his hometown of Bielefeld.

Thanks to his extremely successful outing versus usually tough American David Bostice (TKO 2), Alexander Povetkin (11-0, 9 KOs), who is already ranked #16 by the WBC, will elevate his status from the featured figure of the evening to its main star. According to Povetkin’s manager Vladimir Hrunov, Russian Olympic super heavyweight gold medalist (Athens 2004) will now headline a huge show, promoted by Sauerland Event on May, 5, in Berlin, Germany.

An IBF eliminator between unbeaten cruisers Vadim Tokarev (23-0-1, 16 KOs), 34, of Russia, and Marko Huck (18-0, 14 KOs), 22, of Germany, will reportedly take place on April, 24, in Berlin. Huck is promoted by German-based Sauerland Event, who won the purse bid against Seminole Warriors Boxing the last week.

The IBF cruiserweight eliminator purse bid between #4 Marco Huck and #5 Vadim Tokarev was held today. The winning bidder was Sauerland Event at $314,999. Warriors Boxing bid $251,000.

A shot at World Cruiserweight Champion Krzysztof Wlodarczyk will be on the line later this year when highly regarded unbeatens Vadim Tokarev (23-0-1, 16 KOs) and Marco Huck (18-0, 14 KOs) will meet in a 12 round elimination bout recently ordered by the IBF. katerinburg, Russia’s Tokarev is currently ranked third in the world by the IBF; Huck, a native of Yugoslavia now making his home in Berlin, Germany, is ranked fourthThe IBF has given both parties until February 16th to come to terms for what is destined to be an unforgettable battle. “I’m pleased that the IBF has ordered this elimination bout and we’re excited at the prospect of promoting it here at the Seminole Hard Rock Live Arena in Florida or in Vadim’s home country of Russia,” said Leon Margules, Executive Director of Seminole Warriors Boxing, Tokarev’s promoter. “Either way, Vadim will be the crowd favorite, as he is not only a hero in Russia, but he has built a huge following of fans in Florida after his four round blowout over Felix Cora last May. He is the rare fighter that can appeal to all fight fans, whether here or abroad.”

According to the official site of Russian Professional Boxing Federation, world-rated cruiser Vadim Tokarev (23-0-1, 16 KOs), 34, will now face extremely tough German-based Croatian native Marko ‘Kapt’n’ Huck (also known as Muamer Hukic), 22, for the IBF #1 spot and the position of mandatory challenger for the IBF 200 lbs champion Krzysztof Wlodarczyk, as well. No date or venue were disclosed by the confidential source of info; however, the purse bid between Tokarev’s American co-promoter Seminole Warriors Boxing and Sauerland Event, representing Huck (18-0, 14 KO), will be held in the closest future.

The sensational unbeaten Russian cruiserweight Vadim Tokarev (23-0-1, 16 KOs) is on the short way for his first world title attempt. According to the official site of RPBF (Russian Professional Boxing Federation), his Russian co-promoter Rinat Yusupov warranted that Tokarev, 34, who is ranked fourth by the WBC and IBF, fifth by the WBA and eight by the WBO, will fight in WBC and/or IBF eliminator against the opponent to be announced in late March or early April. No venue and exact date were named though. Two-time world title challenger Vincenzo Cantatore (WBO #4, IBF #8, WBC #9, and WBA #13), 32-4-1, 27 KOs, is considered as one the most possible challengers for the current NABF champion.

Vadim Tokarev (22-0-1, 15 KOs) of Kazan’, Russia, seems to be closer than ever to so desirable fight for one of major titles in cruiserweight division. Current NABF titleholder is said to be taking part in IBF eliminator on November, the 18th, in Warszawa, Poland, on the undercard of scheduled fight for a vacant IBF cruiserweight belt between #1 contender Steve Cunningham of USA and Poland native Krzystof  Wlodarczik, ranked #4 by IBF. Tokarev’s opponent is still to be named, though David Haye and Jean-Marc Mormeck are among possibilities, despite an official announcement yet to be released.

Russian 115 lbs contender Dmitry Kirillov (28-3, 9 KOs) is still seeking an opponent for his future IBF eliminator, scheduled to take place this autumn. Dmitry was controversially defeated by current Nicaraguan titleholder Luis Perez this May and demanded immediate return bout without any success.
