According to the official site of Russian Professional Boxing Federation, world-rated cruiser Vadim Tokarev (23-0-1, 16 KOs), 34, will now face extremely tough German-based Croatian native Marko ‘Kapt’n’ Huck (also known as Muamer Hukic), 22, for the IBF #1 spot and the position of mandatory challenger for the IBF 200 lbs champion Krzysztof Wlodarczyk, as well. No date or venue were disclosed by the confidential source of info; however, the purse bid between Tokarev’s American co-promoter Seminole Warriors Boxing and Sauerland Event, representing Huck (18-0, 14 KO), will be held in the closest future.
Tokarev is rated high by all four major sanctioning bodies, and so does Huck. Russian fighter, who is the current NABF titlist, is coming off the impressive early stoppage of usually durable Shane Schwartz in November. Tokarev was said to collide with Vincenzo Cantatore earlier.
Marko Huck is undefeated as a pro and has a huge kickboxing background – the same can be also said of Tokarev. He is the EBU champion as of date with the latest convincing win over Belgian Ismail Abdoul.
