There is a huge list of certain countries, which form vast white spots over the map of professional boxing nowadays. However, former Soviet republic of Azerbaijan is no longer on this list, as it will host, perhaps, its most important boxing card in history on January, 19. The show, arranged by Alexander Yagupov’s “Coliseum Promotions” in an association with Spanish-based “Tundra” promotional company and with the help of the charitable fund “Sozidanie”, will hit Azerbaijani capital Baku. The upcoming event will be the third ever boxing card (with one fight in 1995 and one event in 2004), held on the southeastern shore of Caspian See, and undoubtedly the biggest one.
