Kirillov fight cancelled!

The sheduled fight between IBF mandatory challenger Dmitriy Kirillov and TBA for the vacant IBF 115-pound world super flyweight belt was finally cancelled after numerous attempts to save the match. Timur Shailezov was the last to withdraw from the fight joining Arzykulov, Mazimbaev, Vargas and Matumla.

Shailezov Wins NABA Belt!

On March 19 at the Metro Bar in his homeland of Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, Timur Shailezov (9-0) won the vacant NABA Bantamweight championship by defeating Guyana’s Leon Moore (18-2, 17 KOs) by majority decision. Promoter Akyl Beckbolotov says he is working hard to put Kyrgyzstan in the international boxing scene.

Russian Update!

Timur Shailezov, originally form Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, now fighting in Russia, scored the biggest win of his 4-month career as a pro when he defeated always-tough Russian journeyman Pavel ‘Macho’ Kubasov over 10 hard rounds in order to capture the vacant Russian bantamweight title this Thursday, 21st, in casino Vodoley, Ekaterinburg, Russia. Light-hitting but aggressive Shailezov was in control of the fight from the start up to the end, however Kubasov showed once again that he is a good opposition for everyone. Shailezov is 5-0 without any KOs now, while Kubasov falls down to horrible 4-27, 1 KO.
