Darchinyan camp nixed Montiel!

Earlier today, IBF flyweight champion Vic Darchinyan called out all super flyweight champions, stating his promoter Gary Shaw told him he cannot find any worthy opponents. According to Golden Boy Promotions matchmaker Eric Gomez, Darchinyan must not have been informed of an offer to face WBO super flyweight champion Fernando Montiel.

IBF flyweight champion Vic Darchinyan is confident of victory in a proposed fight against Fernando Montiel for the WBO super flyweight title on June 9. Vic also says talks are currently taking place for a clash with power puncher Jorge Arce in November.
