Rising heavyweight Alexey Soloviev showed he is a force to be reckon with on Russian heavyweight scene one more time this Sunday in Pyramide Hall, Kazan’, Russia. 32-years old Soloviev (9-0, 5 KO’s now) originally from Cheboksary, Russia, seemed to be too much for Belarussian journeyman Peter Sapun, 32, (11-13, 2 KO) as he stopped his foe in round 2 of scheduled 8 to earn eighth victory the last year.
Soloviev fight was the main event of the evening, promoted by Yagupov & Co. In the co-feature, Azerbaijani cruiser Ali Ismailov (5-1-1, 4 KO), 32, from Baku easily destroyed unheralded Andrey Sipchenko (1-2, 1 KO) by decking him three times in rounds 3, 5 and 6, until referee mercifully stopped the beating in the sixth round. That was the second win for Ismailov since his February TKO loss to NABF champion Vadim Tokarev. Azerbaijani is planning currently to arrange a rematch with Tokarev to prove his loss was an inconsistency.

Young Georgian twins Shalva and Levan Jomardashvili did it again and both in the very first rounds of their bouts, held in Tbilisi Boxing Hall of George Kandelaki, Tbilisi, Georgia, named by former WBU heavyweight champion from that country.
19-years old Shalva, competing as the middleweight, scored his 13th straight win (9 by KO) in the equal number of boats by stopping Shakhrad Japarov, who was making his professional debut. The same time 17-years old Levan kayoed also-debuting Ramin Mamedov in the fight, held in light heavyweight division. That was his 5th victory (3rd by KO) since his first appearance in the ring a month ago.
