Big punching Russian super middleweight Victor Oganov (26-0, 26 KOs) has withdrawn from his scheduled bout on February 23 at the Rooty Hill RSL, Rooty Hill, NSW, Australia against Brazilian middleweight champion Jose Hilton Dos Santos (23-7). Oganov suffered a rib injury in a sparring session against 5'8 heavyweight Lawrence Tauasa (24-5-1). Oganov has won all his 26 fights by knockout but had his hands full against the clever, hard hitting Tauasa in several sparring sessions in the past two weeks. Oganov recently scored a second round stoppage over Richard Grant in Anaheim, California. The promoters are looking for a opponent for Tauasa to clash with in the main event. Hot prospect Ryan Waters will meet Sam Setu in a NSW light middleweight title bout. Australian jr featherweight champion Davey Browne, former amateur light middleweight star Leroy Brown and welterweight Bobby Antonakos will be appearing in undercard bouts. Promoter Bill Tracy.
