Чемпион мира по версии WBC в весе «супермухи» (до 55,3 кг) японец Тошиаки Нишиока (36-4-3, 23 КО) отстоял титул в 4-й раз подряд, остановив в 5-м раунде филиппинца Балвега Бангояна (15-1, 6 КО). В начале раунда Нишиока отправил соперника в нокдаун – Бангоян сумел подняться и продолжить бой, но его угол отказался от продолжения борьбы.
