It was announced earlier this week by “AMI Production”, France-based promotional company, ruled by Michel Acaries, that the highly anticipated EBU title clash between the current 168 lbs champion David Gogiya (17-1, 4 KOs) and former WBC world titlist Christian Sanavia (39-3, 12 KOs, WBO #6, WBC #7) of Italy will take place on the first of June in Ajaccio, France. The fight was once scheduled to take place in Paris, on April, 27, but was postponed due to undisclosed reasons.
Russian-based Georgian Gogiya, WBC #6, WBA #10, IBF #8, and WBO #15, broke through to the super middleweight elite the last year with the bunch of sensational wins over Stjepan Bozic, and world-rated Mger Mkrtchian and Jackson Chanet.
